12.7 Women’s Development
IREDA has taken a number of initiatives for empowering women development through renewable energy programmes. Besides giving special concessions in its lending terms and conditions to women, IREDA has been organising various promotional programmes exclusively for women. During the current year upto 31st December 2004, IREDA co-organised one promotional programme exclusively for women.

12.8 Customers Satisfaction
Quality objectives of IREDA, govern the operational improvement in the efficiency of services provided to clients. IREDA has been granted the Quality Management Systems Certificate License (IS/ISO 9001: 2000) during 2004-05. It has initiated action for

hosting information on website such as status of loan sanction, disbursement for the benefit of borrowers. It has simplified procedures and systems for easy operation.

12.9 Award
The Government of India presented on 14th September 2004 the “Indira Gandhi Official Language Award” for propagation of Hindi to IREDA for the year 2002-03 amongst ‘A’ category PSUs.

12.10 Networking
IREDA has been networking with various technical and professional organisations through a scheme of Business Development Associates (BDA) for generating more business. During April-December 2004, one BDA was registered, taking the total number of BDAs to 54 as on 31st December 2004. These BDAs comprise 16 technical consultancy organisations, 12 State Nodal Agencies, 2 local productivity councils, 18 private sector enterprises and 6 NGOs and Technical Institutions.
